Karen and Steven were married on the beach at the Four Seasons Lana'i at Manele Bay. The Four Seasons operates two resorts on this private island, one beachfront and one upcountry surround by lush gardens and hiking trails. This island was a Dole pineapple plantation from the 1920s to the 1980s, and is now one of the most exclusive vacation destinations in the world. Though PhotoHawaii is based on Maui, Lana'i is only a short ferry ride away and we love the opportunity to shoot weddings there.
Sonia & Jerod were married on the beautiful grounds of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. This spot offers panoramic views of the Kapalua Cliffside and Honolua Bay, a famous big wave surf spot in the winter months and a popular snorkeling spot in summer. It's also one of the prettiest spots on the island to catch a sunset.
PhotoHawaii was honored to photograph the opening of a fantastic new wedding and reception venue on Maui, Sugar Beach Events. The visionary behind Sugar Beach Events is Chef Lee, whose passion for food and entertaining drove her to create this elegant, beachfront venue. The grand opening was indeed grand! The food, the decor, the setting... well, everything (and everyone!) was so pretty, it made our job a cinch! Check out the Sugar Beach Events blog for a video about the event, and if you are planning a wedding on Maui, we highly recommend checking this place out!
Julie & Kai said their "I Do's" in the presence of friends and family on the beautiful grounds of The Ritz Carlton Maui. The ceremony took place in the late afternoon, which was timed perfectly for capturing romantic sunset photos during their first hour as husband and wife.
Evelyn and Wilfredo wanted a private beach wedding at sunset and what a sunset it was! They were married on Ulua Beach, which is located near the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. Even a small wedding such as this involves organizing numerous details, which makes a wedding planner a worthwhile investment, especially when the nuptials are being performed far from home. This couple had the benefit of working with Tracy Flanagan of A Dream Wedding. She helped them with the legal paperwork, found an officiant who spoke their native tongue (Spanish), organized hair, makeup, flowers and leis, and arranged their celebration dinner, just to name a few things! With an experienced professional like Tracy by their side, Evelyn and Wilfredo could kick back and enjoy their big day!
